To parents and guardians – We welcome you to Magnolia UCC!
l
Please know that in our sanctuary, all noises of life are welcome noises! On Sunday mornings, you are welcome to walk in and out of the Sanctuary with your child as needed, come up and light a candle together and just be at home. Also, in the back of the Sanctuary, you can find age-specific baskets with games and activities for all ages.
MUCC is honored to welcome Emma K. as our new Childcare Coordinator for the MUCC Children’s Gathering Room. The staffed room is available to all kiddos ages 0-5 of parents/guardians who are worshiping at MUCC on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. Are you a congregant interested in being a back-up volunteer on one Sunday? Let Pastor Marci know (in-person or via email at contact@magnoliaucc.org)! Starting on the first Sunday in April (April 6th), Emma will be staffing the Children’s Gathering Room along with a MUCC volunteer.
Below is a Bio from Emma:
Hi all!
My name’s Emma, and I’m a local Seattleite having grown up in the Ballard area. I love getting to continue to work within our community, and I look forward to working with MUCC and meeting all of you!
A little about me – I’m currently finishing an ABSN degree specializing in acute pediatric care, and have spent the last ten years as a privately hired pediatric consultant here in the greater Seattle area, as well as a few other states, as I provide specialized care, assistance, and education for families with infants and toddlers. My background education is in child development and psychology, and as part of my consultant job I continue to maintain my nurse assistant license as I complete my ABSN RN in the next few months. I love and take much pride in my work, and love that MUCC is dedicated to having a high standard of safety and care. I have prior experience as a preschool teacher, and have so much fun doing any sort of craft projects! For those with littles looking to join – I am fully vaccinated per hospital policy, have over a decade of experience working with kids of all ages, developmental needs, and medical needs, and welcome anyone who has questions or wants to pop in and say hi!
When I’m not busy studying or working with families you’ll usually find me adventuring outdoors in the PNW, getting out on the water with family, attending Crossfit or Solidcore, or out at brunch with friends! I’m very much looking forward to sunny Seattle weather, and I look forward to helping create a safe and welcoming space for families to join!
We are glad you are with us! Everyone is welcome here!
