Welcome Families! 

At Magnolia UCC, we believe the sounds, energy, and joy of children are a vital part of our community. To support your family, we provide two different dedicated spaces tailored to your needs each Sunday morning.

Option 1: The Grace Space (In the Sanctuary)

For families who wish to remain together during worship. Located right inside the sanctuary, this area allows your children to engage with worship in a way that feels natural to them, while remaining close to you.

  • Who it’s for: Children of all ages remaining in worship.
  • Supervision: Parents and guardians must provide direct supervision at all times.
  • Safety Note: This area includes small toys and materials. Because these can pose choking hazards, children aged 3 and under must be supervised closely by an adult at all times.

Option 2: The Children’s Gathering Space Room

For parents and guardians who prefer a dedicated childcare setting. If you or your child prefer a separate, age-appropriate environment during the service, we offer a warm, intentional space on our main floor adjacent to the Parlor.

  • When: Offered during worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month.
  • Who it’s for: Littles from 3 months to 5 years old.
  • Supervision: Fully staffed by trained childcare professionals and volunteers who have cleared safety background checks.
  • On Non-Staffed Sundays (2nd, 4th, and 5th Sundays): Parents and guardians are entirely welcome to use the Children’s Gathering Space Room on Sundays when it is not staffed! It serves as a quiet, comforting place to nurse, change diapers, or play. For your peace of mind, all toys in this room are safe and entirely appropriate for infants and toddlers.

Quick Check-In Guide

  1. Find a Greeter: If you need help locating the Grace Space or the Children’s Gathering Space, any of our greeters will gladly guide you.
  2. Snacks & Diaper Bags: You are always welcome to bring your own labeled bags, snacks, and comfort items into either space.
  3. Listen to Your Family: Feel free to transition between these spaces mid-service if your child’s needs change! We are a flexible, grace-filled community and you and your families’ needs come first! Changing tables are available in the Children’s Gathering Space as well as in both of our bathrooms on the main floor.
