Join Voices for Social Justice (VFSJ) on Friday, November 8th at 7:00 pm for our Justice Sing, “Election Recall: A Space for Healing and Connection Following the 2024 Presidential Election;” it aims to bring together our community after another divisive election season and re-establish our commitment to continued justice work. Through panel dialogue featuring members of MUCC and VFSJ and community singing, we will create intentional space for connection as we explore what our communities need through the lens of championing human rights, protections, and access. During this event, you won’t hear any mention of politics or policy, but we’ll explore our role in supporting those whose lives are vulnerable after this election. We hope to create a space where we can inspire the kind of empathy, courage, and compassion it takes to dismantle systems of oppression, lay a foundation for continued justice work that can be transformative, and orient our hearts toward empathy following the election.
Voices for Social Justice is a nonprofit organization that works to combine activism with artistic practice. We develop programming that engages with our community to promote social change, we develop resources to build equity in artistic, educational spaces, and we create artistic platforms for all people to share their stories. At the heart of what we do is championing the human voice, whether that be singing, storytelling, empowerment, or advocacy, Voices for Social Justice is an accomplice in efforts to dismantle oppressive systems that silence any and all voices.
