Our annual Salmon Dinner returns directing ALL net proceeds to charities, each championed by a member of our Congregation.
The theme of this year’s event is “Show Your Colors”. All are invited to come dressed to the event showing your individuality by wearing colors that speak to you. We encourage you to embrace and fearlessly celebrate your identity through color in alignment with our church’s call to BELONG and welcome ALL. We encourage you to have fun with a favorite color scheme: rainbow, patriotic, purple, a favorite hat, a favorite team color, etc. Consider this year’s theme an invitation to share a bit more of yourself in a community that is open and affirming and welcomes all!
The organizations we are supporting this year are:
- DADS-Divine Alternatives for Dads Services has a vision of creating “stronger fathers and healthier communities.” They try to do this through modeling healthy relationships as a means of creating healthier fathers and families, work to stop the cycle of family violence and brokenness in order to improve the lives of children and encourage fathers to become agents of change in their communities. - Doney Coe Pet Clinic supports the unconditional love between a human and their pet. Doney Coe Pet Clinic offers veterinary services and wellness care to the pets of qualifying low income and homeless families in Seattle, Washington. Why? Because every animal matters. - Duwamish River Cleanup Coalition provides resources, knowledge, and action to build more just environmental futures while working to clean up the Duwamish River. You can find out more at https://www.drcc.org/
- Elizabeth Gregory House provides a welcoming and respectful refuge for women who are experiencing homelessness, trauma or economic insecurity have access to a caring community and critical resources. You can learn more about them at https://eghseattle.org/
- Interbay Village is a community in our neighborhood who now provides a total of 76 tiny houses with capacity to serve up to 90 people. The program provides 24/7 staffing, on-site case managers, behavioral health services, security, a community kitchen, on-site hygiene, and laundry. MUCC has had a long history of supporting this community.
- Lambert House empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills. You can learn more about this organization here: https://www.lamberthouse.org/
- Sacred Streets provides a compassionate, companioning presence in the Pacific Northwest, reaching out to our neighbors in need, educating communities, and advocating for readily accessible mental health care that attends to the whole person. Learn more here: https://oursacredstreets.org/

Dinner is $40 per person and you can choose from salmon, chicken or vegan. In addition:
- Bring cash or Venmo for the beverage bar (wine, beer, and soft drinks, $5, $5 and $2 respectively. Bottles of wine $25)
- Bring your check or cash or credit card for the dessert dash—the main fundraiser event!
This year due to the generosity of some of the MUCC community, we will be having a Silent Auction during the first hour of the Salmon Dinner (from 5:30 to 6:30 pm). Located on the Silent Auction table up in Pilgrim Hall will be several experiences available for bidding during that hour. Some of the items already procured include:
- 2 tickets to a Union Arts Center production (formerly ACT & Seattle Shakespeare) during the 2026/27 Mainstage Season. (Not applicable for A Christmas Carol or The Dina Martina Christmas Show.)
- Six-night condo stay, June 21-27, 2027, at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club in the upper village in Whistler, BC. Two bedrooms and two baths, sleeps 6.
- 2 tickets to a Seattle Sounders game during the 2027 MLS Sprint Season (February to April 2027). Game TBD by mutual agreement with donors.
- 2 tickets to a play at the Taproot Theatre during the November 2026 through October 2027 season.
- One-hour massage or foot reflexology session.
- 2 tickets to the Seattle Kraken vs Buffalo Sabres game on December 6.
- 2 tickets to a play at the Sound Theatre Company during its upcoming season that begins in early 2027.
- Appetizers, wine and beer for 10 people on the 10th floor of the Bayview retirement community. Catered by the Bayview culinary staff.
- 2 tickets to COPENHAGEN at Thalia’s Umbrella during its 3-week run (late February through mid-March 2027).
