In this book, we will learn “to discover the sacred in the small things we do and see”. Taylor will show us that “in a world where faith is often construed as a way of thinking, embodied practices remind the willing that faith is a way of life… And that wherever you are, you live in the world, which is just waiting for you to notice the holiness in it—even in ordinary acts such as hanging clothes, making eye contact with the grocery store cashier, or allowing yourself to get lost.” And if we pay attention, we begin to discover altars everywhere we go, in nearly everything we do.”
This book study will be led by Rev. Carson via Zoom. We will gather on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm (5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29). Here are the reading assignments for the book study, but please come even if you haven’t gotten that far in the book!
